Day Seven - Going Home

Getting Ready for the Flight Home: A Smooth and Comfortable Journey

Your adventure in Arizona has been amazing, and now it’s time to head home. Just like when you arrived, the airport and flight experience will have lots of sights, sounds, and new sensations. But don’t worry—you’re prepared! Here are some ways to make the journey home as smooth and comfortable as possible:

5. Hydration & Snacks

Arizona’s dry air can still affect you on the plane. Keep drinking water and bring familiar, easy-to-eat snacks.
Chewing gum, sucking on a lollipop, or drinking through a straw can help with ear pressure during takeoff and landing.

6. Celebrate the Journey!

Remind them of all the amazing things they did in Arizona! Look at pictures, discuss favorite moments, or plan a “memory book” to make the transition home positive.
Let them know you are proud of them for trying new things, handling changes, and being part of an adventure.

With the right tools and preparation, the flight home can be a calm and positive experience—just another part of the adventure! 🚀✈️

Start your day with an early breakfast at the hotel.

Arrange Airport Transportation - None of the hotels on our list provide airport transfers. Due to the central location, there is likely an Ride Share close to you. Use the app to prebook your pick-up time if you are more comfortable. If you are leaving early in the morning or after 2:00 pm, plan on an extra 20 minutes to get to the airport.

Remember to use the same techniques that were successful on your journey to Arizona and practice them as you make your way through security and check-in. Remember, TSA Cares and to ask for assistance if you need it.
